Welcome to the Michael Hooker Proteomics Core Facility

We are the proteomics core facility for the Biomarkers Facility Core of the Center of Environmental Health Susceptibility (CEHS).

To encourage facility core usage between August 23, 2004 and March 31, 2005 mini pilot awards totaling $45,000 are now available to CEHS members. The awards will provide a maximum of $1000 support from CEHS for proteomics-based services on a 50:50 cost share basis with the member.

This mini pilot program is intended to be used by all the cores and subcores associated with CEHS. Preferences will be made so that awards are distributed evenly among the cores/subcores. However if usage is limited and one core continues to have most of the requests throughout the fiscal year, then additional mini pilots will go to that core until the money is spent.

To have a project considered for funding, the investigator needs to submit a one-page abstract of the proposed project that states what is being done and how it is relevant to the mission of CEHS. Requests should be submitted to James Swenberg at jswenber@email.unc.edu. Responses to requests should take 1-2 weeks.
